North Shore Unitarian Church is proud to present some of Chicago’s finest young singers in a series of four concerts from January to May.
Artistic Director of the series is Yasuko Oura, who also serves as collaborative pianist in each concert. They are held on Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. Free-will donations taken at the concerts are given in their entirety to the performing artists. Performances are enhanced by the fine acoustics and beautiful setting of the sanctuary and are followed by receptions. The four outstanding singers of the 2010 series are award-winning singers who regularly appear with major opera companies throughout the USA, including the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Opera Theater, Santa Fe Opera, San Francisco Opera, Central City Opera, Santa Barbara Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Detroit Opera, Michigan Opera Theater, Sarasota Opera, Minnesota Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, and Florida Grand Opera.
