Offered at 9:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
Kingdom of Equals explores the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. Based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, this program takes a look at what Jesus means for Unitarian Universalists.
In many ways, he was an model Unitarian Universalist, bringing new ideas to rigid religious forms, preaching the power of abiding love, and believing that individuals and communities could come together to make a better world. It was his example that inspired our Unitarian Universalist forefathers to preach “not hell but hope” and to challenge the narrow understanding of religion that many held at the time.
On a normal Sunday, Kingdom of Equals learners begins their morning in the Worship Service with the rest of the congregation. Students will hear the Opening Words, a song or two, the Story for All Ages, and then will leave for class during the Recessional Hymn.
