Sunday Services

We welcome you to a Sunday morning service, one of the best ways to get acquainted with NSUC. From the week after Labor Day through the first week of June, services are offered at 9:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings. During the summer, there is one service each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The week after Labor Day is Opening Sunday, a day to welcome back all who were gone for the summer and to celebrate with an all-church picnic; the service is at 10:00 am followed by the picnic at 11.

Generally, services consist of a combination of music, hymns, readings and a sermon. Sermon topics are inspired by the wisdom of the world’s religions and leading philosophers and thinkers, as well as from the rich tradition of Unitarian Universalist thought.

Following each service, coffee and treats are served in Fellowship Hall, providing an excellent opportunity to meet members of our community.  Visitors are asked to choose a yellow mug, so that members can identify and properly welcome them.

During coffee hour in Fellowship Hall, all guests are invited to chat with the minister and membership coordinator. There, visitors and guests can meet with members to learn more about church events. Coffee Hour in Fellowship Hall provides the opportunity for newcomers to discuss their interests and have questions answered about our church and membership.

Please take a look at our sermon archive to learn more about the types of issues we discuss during services.
